Written by Adam M. Snow
I know why I'm shackled down;
my sins, the reason I'm bound.
It has many names and taunt me so,
it holds me close and won't let go.
The warden of this prison cell,
bears my face and knows me well.
He grins and jest at my misery,
and ignores my every plea.
He tightens the shackles upon my wrists,
and leaves me to question, why I exist.
I take these trials to my heart,
in my world, torn apart.
Even wounds in time does mend,
these prison bars marks not my end.
And though I wait patiently,
I know a Savior will come for me.
These chains, they do not hold me down.
It's all lies, I'm not bound.
The truth of this reality,
there are no chains that can hold me.
