Written by Adam M. Snow
There's a time in life,
where we face our strife;
on the edge, on the brink,
a beating heart with ev'ry blink
of an eye. We stand
taunting fate's hand;
off the cliff we jump.

Eyes Wide Open Written by Adam M. Snow Eyes wide open, I see, yet I was blind; a heart shaped veil, a clouded mind. A masquerade, a fool was I, in life betrayed by cupids arrow. I see, yet I was blind, to love and nothing more. An illusions of the mind, this masquerade of ours. A.M. Snow © 2017 all rights reserve Milady of the Crystal Sea Written by Adam M. Snow Milady of the Sea, sing and taketh me where shadows dance, with thou voice in trance; far beyond the crystal sea. Let thou voice be my guide, to thou a morning bride. Sing and taketh me, Milady of the sea; Into thou raging tide. Let my ship sail thou heart, if morning dost depart. Oh, treacherous dame of the sea, will I be free if morning dost depart? Taketh of me, my horizon, that which is wizen and give my heart a dream; a glimmer of hope, a gleam of the yonder horizon. Milady of the Sea, sing and taketh me into the deepest blue, where thine heart askew, beyond the crystal sea. Let I taketh thou wine, upon my lips so rich and fine. To curse myself into thou sea; to take of thee without a plea; a voice of thou in which thy opine. Milady, the sea is thine, to dive into the divine. To curse myself into thou sea, I'll take of thee without a plea, a nectar of wine. I'll bare thee upon my heart, as if a blade cut apart; a drop of wine into the sea, oh be that Milady, thou morning dost depart. A.M. Snow © 2017 all rights reserve The Beast Written by Adam M. Snow I see a beast in front of me, snarling eyes into my soul. He takes from me my heart to be filled to the brim with coal. I see the smirk upon his face as he rips from me my soul. Like a chalkboard, I'm erased, leaving my heart a coal. That beast I see in front of me, such a sinister thing it is; a reflection of myself to see, my life in the eyes of his. A.M. Snow © 2017 all rights reserved Kill the Dreamer Written by Adam M. Snow Kill the poet with his ink, for the pen is mighty. Take from him that which he write; his soul belongs to the sea. Kill the artist with his paint, his flowers have no scent. Take from him that which he paints; break his brush and don't repent. Kill the singer with his song; a silent mouth is musical. Take from him that which he sings; he was born to appall. Kill the dreamer with his dreams; he who cannot sleep. Take from him that which he dreams, his visions, he cannot keep. We seek to kill the dreamer's soul, a witch hunt we thrive for. We forget the gift that God has given, in return we shut the door. We steal the dreams the dreamer's dreamt; the desire of a selfish being. A tormented soul we leave behind, that goes without seeing. What have we in life become? Thieves of a poet soul. Chose to take the pen away, leaving his heart a blacked hole. We take for granted that of life, and take from others dream. In reality, should embrace our own, a gift from God in light esteem. A.M. Lies I've shown a sinful deceit, to bear the mask of many. I am neither to be discreet, but a child if any. Shrouding my face behind countless reflections; a jest among these holds no resurrection, but anguish without ease. I am fleeing like the wind, living out all my span. I know not the end for I am, but a man. A.M. Snow © 2017 all rights reserve |
